I Lost Every Review for Junkyard Druid… Here’s How You Can Help

I need to ask you a small favor—and it really will only take a minute.

When I released the 10th Anniversary Edition of Junkyard Druid, Amazon treated it like a completely new book. Which means something I honestly didn’t expect happened overnight…

Every single review from the original release disappeared.

Yep. Years of reader feedback. Gone in the blink of an eye.

Now, on the one hand, I understand why Amazon does this. From a technical standpoint, a new edition is a new product listing. But from an indie author’s perspective? It’s a tough reset button to get hit with—especially for a book that helped launch an entire series.

Right now, Junkyard Druid is basically starting from scratch in the Amazon algorithm. And that’s a rough place for any indie novel to be.

Here’s something most readers don’t realize: it’s widely suspected in the indie publishing world that a book needs 500+ ratings and reviews before Amazon’s recommendation engine really starts pushing it to new readers. Until then, it tends to sit quietly in the digital shadows, waiting to be discovered.
