I’ve been noticeably absent from the blog, my Facebook page, and my reader group lately. I apologize for my silence. The past few years, as many of you know, have been a challenging journey in light of my battle with cancer and subsequent surgery back in May.
In the aftermath, I realized I had perhaps too eagerly plunged back into work and training, not fully allowing myself the time to heal. Unfortunately, this led to escalating post-surgical and post-cancer complications.
Acknowledging this, I made the conscious decision to step back from work and reduce my physical activities to focus on recuperation. This included shutting down a couple of Facebook groups I was managing. I needed this time not only for physical healing but also for some much-needed emotional healing as well.
During this period of stepping back, I’ve been dedicating my energy primarily to writing. Each morning, I’ve set a goal of writing about three thousand words, immersing myself in the world of my characters and stories. This has been a therapeutic and productive time, allowing me to plan my projects for the upcoming year.
Now, let me share what I’ve been working on. I’ve taken a brief hiatus from writing the next installment in the Colin McCool series, the follow-up to Deadlands Druid. Instead, I’ve been pouring my creativity into a new superhero fantasy fiction series.
This series features Colin McCool in an intriguing alternate timeline. This fresh venture has been my primary focus, and I’m nearing the completion of the first book in this series.
As you know, Colin is on a quest for technology to rectify the ‘Hellpocalypse’ timeline. That’s precisely why he travels to the superhero timeline in this series, and as you might expect, mayhem and hilarity ensue…
Once Superhero World is wrapped up, my plan is to circle back to the main Colin McCool series. I’m aiming to write the much-anticipated follow-up to Deadlands Druid. I expect this to occupy most of February and March.
Following that, I’ll be returning to the CERBERUS series. My goal is to finish the fourth book in that series in April into May. Then I’ll return to the superhero series to pen the second entry in May through June, after which I plan to take July off from writing.
So, that’s a glimpse into my schedule for the next few months. It’s a tight but exciting timeline, and I’m thrilled to bring these stories to life for you all.
As always, I’m incredibly grateful for your support and patience. While I’ve been quieter online, know that I’ve been working hard behind the scenes, weaving new tales and adventures for you to enjoy.
I’m looking forward to sharing these new stories with you and hearing your thoughts. Thank you for sticking with me through this journey. More updates and sneak peeks will be coming soon, so stay tuned!
