Urban Fantasy Author Update November 2025

Urban fantasy author update illustration featuring Colin McCool with silver glowing eyes casting a spell.

Hey folks,

It’s been a minute since I posted an update, so I figured I’d let you know what’s happening in the Druidverse as we head into the tail end of 2025.

Between new projects, updates to older titles, and some long-awaited returns to fan-favorite series, there’s a lot in motion right now. So grab a cup of coffee (or something stronger), and let’s dive in.

Coming Soon — Sylvan Druid!

First up: Sylvan Druid. This one’s a big deal, as it’s the 20th Colin McCool series novel, and the epic conclusion to the Sylvan Cycle series.

In Sylvan Druid, I’m tying together all the major threads from the previous novels — Deadlands Druid, Fey Druid, Battle Druid, and everything that’s come before. Expect gods, monsters, and magical mayhem on a massive scale.

Colin will be directly facing off with the Celtic gods themselves, traveling through a war-torn Underhill, and uncovering the truth about the hidden hand that’s been pulling strings behind the scenes since the early books.

If you’ve been with me since Junkyard Druid, this book is going to feel like coming full circle — with all the grit, humor, and heart you’ve come to expect. And yes, there will be plenty of battle scenes, sarcasm, and probably a few emotional gut punches along the way.

Now, before anyone panics, this isn’t the end of Colin’s series. The current story arc may be wrapping up, but I’m already cooking up new ideas that expand his world and story.

For one, I’ve been toying with the notion of druid apprentices stepping into the spotlight — new characters, new adventures, and maybe a few familiar faces popping up along the way. We shall see…

Light Edits and Kindle Updates

On the housekeeping side, I’m doing light edits on Graveyard Druid and Moonlight Druid. These won’t be full rewrites like the Junkyard Druid 10th Anniversary Edition — think more along the lines of stylistic polishing, tightening the prose, and ensuring consistency across the series.

Once those edits are finished, the updated versions will go live on Amazon. If you already own the ebooks, you’ll be able to download the new versions directly to your Kindle or Kindle app at no extra cost.

I should have the edits done by the end of November, and I’ll announce it on the blog and my socials when I update the files.

All Single Novels Priced at $4.99 or Less

If you’re looking to catch up on what I’ve written over the last year, you’ll be glad to know that I’ve priced all my single novels at $4.99 or less.

Honestly, I’ve been toying with the idea of pricing my novels higher, and that might happen in the future. But right now, the economy is so crappy and the job market so f***ed, I figured I’d drop the price on everything that was $5.99 and $6.99.

The box sets are still $9.99 each, but for three or four novels in a single set, I think that’s a steal.

Looking Ahead to 2026

After Sylvan Druid drops and the edits are wrapped, I’ll be shifting gears a bit in 2026. There are a few projects I’ve been itching to get back to, and next year is when that finally happens.

First on deck: a new CERBERUS novel. It’s been too long since I revisited that series, and I’ve had readers asking for another entry for months. I’ve got a follow-up planned that will pick up right where the last book left off, with more military fantasy action, and more of that spooky, X-Files vibe that CERBERUS fans love.

I’m also sketching out a new Colin McCool spinoff that’s going to be… well, let’s just say “multiversal” in nature. If you enjoyed the Superhero World storyline where Colin got tangled up in alternate timelines and realities, you’re going to dig this new concept.

The idea is to have fun with Colin in some wild, unexpected ways without being tied down to the main Druid continuity. I’ll release more info when I’m ready to launch the first in that series.

Wrapping Up

So there you have it, a quick rundown of what’s coming up from my end of the keyboard. Between Sylvan Druid, the upcoming edits, a new CERBERUS book, and more Colin McCool adventures, 2026 is shaping up to be a busy year.

As always, thank you to everyone who reads, reviews, and supports my work. You’re the reason I get to keep building worlds, creating imaginary monsters, and writing smart-mouthed druids for a living.

Until next time — stay frosty, and don’t make deals with the Fae.

Thanks for the kind words, Patrick. So far, so good—meaning no cancer. I continue to experience complications from the surgery, but it beats the alternative.

The druidverse is getting massive. A wiki would be great.

I’ve started setting one up twice, but it’s such a massive job that I’d need a team of readers to handle it. But yes, I agree, the Druidverse deserves a wiki.

It’s coming soon, and I’m working on it daily. Hopefully by Christmas, but that might not happen, as it all depends on how the story unfolds as I write it. Thanks for your support!
